DOAS Department of Administrative Services is an agency of the executive branch of state government created pursuant to the Official Code of Georgia Annotated ( O.C.G.A. Official Code of Georgia Annotated ) Section 50-5-1. The State Purchasing Act establishes DOAS Department of Administrative Services as the unit of state government charged with the responsibility for the establishment of contracts, leases, purchase orders or other agreements for the procurement of supplies, materials, equipment, services and construction, and for overseeing statewide contracts and other contracts serving multiple state entities.

DOAS Department of Administrative Services created SPD State Purchasing Division to establish contracts and administer other procurement duties and functions identified in the State Purchasing Act, including, but not limited to:
